Aim: Develop and evaluate a novel urinary analyte stabilizer for urinary cell-free DNA
Partners: DNA Genotek Ottawa, Novosanis Wijnegem
Results: No significant difference in the average yield of urinary cell free DNA isolated using different extraction methods. Unstabilized urine samples held at ambient temperature showed increase in the bacterial growth/lysis and decrease in the human cell-free DNA content. DNA Genotek’s novel proprietary urinary analyte stabilizer (UAS) preserves the detection of urinary cell-free DNA for 7 days at RT.
