Aim: To investigate the use of urine samples, which can be collected by self-sampling at home for follow-up of an interventional HPV therapeutic vaccine trial

Partners: University of Antwerp, VAXINFECTO (Belgium), Clinical Microbiology, University Hospital Antwerp (Belgium)

Results: Standardized urine sampling may be a valid option for the follow-up of persistent infections or persistent clearance in a therapeutic HPV vaccine trial.  Non-invasive at-home sampling may substantially simplify the operational management of an HPV vaccination trial and may increase the sampling frequency if required.
