Yellow marks Bladder Cancer
Bladder cancer is the 4th most common cancer in men and 11th in women. based on data from the World Health Organization Bladder Cancer ranks as the 12th most common cancer globally with an estimated 170,000 new cases each year.
Risk factors include:
- Genetic factors (family history of bladder cancer)
- Gender (men are 3 to 4 times more at risk)
- Age (risk increases with age; +55 are more likely to get bladder cancer)
- Smoking (twice as much risk to get affected than non-smokers)
- Kidney and bladder stones
- Frequent exposure to dyes, Aluminium, paint, leather, ...
Be sure to monitor for symptoms as early as possible as these can helps in getting treatment at an early stage. Symptoms include:
- Blood in urine
- Frequent need to urinate
- Unexplained weight loss
- Recurring urinary tract infections (UTIs)
- Abdominal or backpain
