Wijnegem, Belgium, October 11th 2016:  Novosanis announced today her participation in the Belgian Royal Mission to Japan. Their Majesties the King and Queen of the Belgians will be in Japan until October 15 to celebrate 150 years of trade with Japan. During the Belgian Royal Mission, Novosanis will participate in the Life Science Symposium.

Novosanis considers Japan as an important market due to its innovative vision towards healthcare and diagnostics in particular and their high standards in quality. Especially Novosanis’ Colli-Pee™ device could be of interest to the Japanese market because it can collect a first void urine samples for diagnostic use in a hygienic, more user-friendly and efficient way. First void urine can provide a more accurate result in a diagnostic test based on a standardized and guaranteed first-void urine sample. Also at a patient level Colli-Pee™ offers a significant advantage as it is non-invasive and therefore brings more comfort to the patient and in some cases lowers the barrier to reach out to a healthcare taker. (e.g. screening for sexually transmitted infections, like Chlamydia and gonorrhoea, but also human papilloma virus able to cause cervical cancer)

“We believe Colli-Pee has a significant added value in Point-of-Care diagnostics within the overall trend of simplifying diagnostics while improving the accuracy of the test and reducing the time from sample to result.” says Vanessa Vankerckhoven, CEO and co-founder Novosanis.
